I finally found Koko Tsurumi’s 2008 floor music. I instantly fell in love with the song when I heard it play in the background during Jiang Yuyuan’s (CHN) beam routine in 2008 Olympics WAG AA final. {x.x}

Cute picture of the team <3

This is so cute and so Japan.. :))) I love it.

Yin Alvarez congratulates Kohei Uchimura with a kiss on the head, fairly similar to the way he does to his son.

Danell’s dad is so cool. ^o^

Sometimes you do have to fight yourself from watching him as if you are a fan. He’s just so good.

Jonathan Horton on Kohei Uchimura

It was almost like a show. It was like we all would have paid money to watch him. It’s amazing.

Some things people should’ve learned while watching London 2012 gymnastics

  • The qualification round, most of the time, is only a warm-up round for the top groups.
  • The USA WAG team is strong. An unstoppable force. But they lack strong bar and beam specialists. Just because they won team gold doesn’t mean they’ll own every single apparatus. Fans should really get to know the gymnasts the fab five competed with in event finals.
  • The China and Japan MAG teams are obviously the teams to beat. The great thing about both teams is that they have lots of title-holding specialists.
  • Men gymnasts are more friendly with each other. Seriously! Plus, they are comfortable praising their opponents. Don’t tell me you didn’t see those high fives, hugs and smiles during the AA and event finals.
  • An inquiry/appeal is a common thing in gymnastics. Whatever the result is after that, accept it and move on. That’s how true winners do it.
  • The ages of the Chinese girls are legit until proven wrong. Don’t argue.
  • Aliya Mustafina and Viktoria Komova, whether you like it or not, are great all-around gymnasts.
  • Gabby Douglas’ hairstyle is irrelevant. She’s a great athlete. Americans should be proud of her.
  • King Kohei Uchimura… Nuff said. Respect. Yep, calling him ‘KING’ just became mandatory. :))) He’s really awesome.

That’s it. I’m gonna stop tracking the ‘gymnastics’ tag from now on.

Kohei Uchimura! Still Rings

Fierce Kohei is fierce.

Everybody looks at him as the top guy — that we’re in his backyard… He makes the gymnastics looks very easy, and I think it’s a joy to watch. I think he deserves to win.

What gymnasts/journalists say about Kohei Uchimura

alittlebitterr:

Kohei is perfect. He’s talented AND has a great personality. Everyone in the gymnastic world seems to like him. For someone that’s won so many medals.. I’ve yet to hear anyone call him overrated. That’s how you know he’s the best. I’ve seen so many disgusting comments about him on twitter (“he’s ugly” “his armpit hair eww” etc) and I’m just smh at those people.

What gymnasts/journalists say about Kohei

  • He’s not part of the competition. He’s in a different plane.
  • He makes difficult stunts look like a walk in the park.
  • He lands like he just jumped off a bench.
  • Finest/Best all-around gymnasts who has ever lived.
  • An unstoppable force.
  • Unbelievable, amazing, *insert other good adjectives here*
  • An elegant/beautiful gymnast.
