Deng Linlin - Balance Beam Event Final @ 2012 London Olympics

Huge fan of Chinese beam. Li Shanshan did the same element series at Beijing 2008.

Lovely! China’s Deng Linlin delivers a breathtaking routine to beat her compatriot Sui Lu, the world champion, to the Olympic balance beam gold medal on the final day of artistic gymnastics.

In my honest opinion (that is not, in any way, better than yours so don’t bitch on me), Catalina Ponor deserves the bronze medal

No, I’m not Romanian.

One more thing. I have this feeling that you’ll be hearing the Chinese National Anthem three times today. *cough* Zou Kai *cough*

And no, I’m not Chinese.

The high bar event final is better than I initially thought it would be. Zou Kai’s in third place.. Just WOW!

^o^ So…

Let me congratulate Deng Linlin and Sui Lu for winning the gold and silver medals. Superb beam routines. They were very strong, precise and graceful. Chinese beam is really in a different plane from the others. Unbelievable.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G

Let’s take some time to appreciate how amazing Sui Lu and Deng Linlin’s beam routines are. The Chinese beam workers are amazing. They make that apparatus look like a sidewalk.

I hope they hold on to the first and second positions.

Unpopular Opinion

Everybody’s talking about the Americans and the Russians, but this girl, Sui Lu (CHN), will own today’s EF BB. She’ll easily walk out with the gold if she did things perfectly (like in WC 2011 and in the quals). Hands down. And please, before you go insert-American/Russian-gymnast-name-here is epic sauce on me, there’s also Catalina Ponor (ROU). So people might as well pray that these two mess their routines.

Women’s Individual Event - Balance Beam

Fab five fans should mentally prepare themselves for tomorrow, because the Chinese, Romanians and Russians are gonna own this apparatus.

Sui Lu and Catalina Ponor will most likely take home the gold and silver.

That is all.

I want Sui Lu to win gold on beam. She’s a stunning and graceful gymnast. Her beam routine is always divine.
